    What's the difference between an extension method and a static helper function other than syntactic sugar? Nothing…so I'm trying to see why you feel the same hazards that exist for a helper function, don't exist for extension methods.

    Be aware that running headlong into the extension method realm may lead you to pain later on as extension methods (even from separate vendors/developers/projects) can conflict.
