I'm sorry but I had to pick the "both are barinless" option, mainly because its funny :)

But also because this entire thing just seems like a misunderstanding\miscommunication blown out of proportion...

There are worse Microsoft critics out there, the purpose of blogging is to start such conversations... In fact, thats the main advantage Microsoft gets from supporting blogging...

I critisized SAP once (SDN to be exact) and got an angry reply from one of the managers - but it was on my blog - which makes it a legitimate reply in a coversation. Whatever our differences were at least these guys knew how to put it in proportions...

Thank you Eran.

SDN and here is different as well as MSFT and SAP are different companies.

I think, that rules (that we already know), Lior publish makes things much clear more for management, then for bloggers

I wasnt criticising SAP on SDN, I was actually saying SDN sucks on my personal blog :)

I dont know which rules Lior published and I guess that's an internal Microsoft afair but we do have a blogging rules of engagement at SAP and I guess things are more strict here...

After all in enterprise software, unlike consumer software, there needs to be one voice facing customers (although some can argue against that too).

As long as there's a clear line defined I'm fine with not crossing it (so I keep my resentment to SAP products\strategy internal for time being ;) )
